Women's Missionary Union (WMU)
The Women's Missionary Union is a mission-oriented women's group. Their hope is to influence the lives of children, youth and adults to be radically involved in the fulfillent of the "Great Commission." WMU demonstrates a global vision that encourages Christians to: pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions and develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle.
Antioch WMU is funded mostly by members and fundraisers. They support eleven full-time missions. Some of them are: World Vision, Youth for Christ, Pro-Life and various missionaries. They also promote the Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings and many local missions such as Haywood Christian Ministries, Haywood Baptist Disaster Relief and all Antioch Mission trips.
Regular meetings take place on the second Monday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall including dinner.
