The Antioch Seniors Ministry was established to minister to people fifty-five years old or older by providing new adventures, presenting opportunities for fellowship with fellow believers, encouraging all to challenge their minds, and sharing a fabulous meal together.
Inreach – to give support through personal contact with each other
Outreach – to encourage those with physical or age limitations to get involved
Upreach – to have a fun day with our Christian friends.
Our Senior’s Ministry Luncheons are usually held two times per year.
Some of the places we have visited are: The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant and the Amish store in Chuckey, The Cradle of Forestry – the “Pink Beds,”the Daniel Boone Restaurant in Boone, NC, Gatlinburg, TN – yearly Craft Fair, the Bristol Race Track – Christmas Lights, Asheville, NC – Tour of Asheville on the trolley, and visiting the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte.
Our trips are largely supported by our church annual budget and a small donation per trip.
A brochure is published in the spring identifying prospective trips for the year.
