Steve has been in ministry for 24 years and has served as Antioch’s pastor for 17 years.Before coming to Antioch as Senior Pastor, Steve served as a Minister of Youth and Recreation and as a Minister of Youth and Education in various churches across the Southeast.

 

Before entering full-time ministry, Steve worked as a landscaper, high school teacher and coach. His passion is to see people develop as fully-engaged followers of Christ.  Steven enjoys running, working out, hiking, and fly-fishing. Pastor Steve is an avid reader and hopes to write a book sometime in the future.

 

Steven and Desi have been married for 26 years and have called Western North Carolina home for over 24 years.

 

 

 

 Jeff Cairnes

 

Jeff was called to be the Student Ministry Director earlier in the spring this year. He has a heart for the youth here at Antioch and through the community. He has worked with youth in Haywood County for 15 years. 

 

Before ministry, Jeff worked for AT&T. His passion is to see youth in todays society know Jesus as their personal Savior and for them to grow in a stronger relationship with Christ.

 

His hobbies include: fishing, hunting, wood working, going to the lake and swimming.

 

Jeff and Debbie have been married for 20 years. Their son Jonathen graduates from Haywood Christian Academy the year. Their daughter is in third grade.
