Christians Actively Reaching Everyone (CARE)
C.A.R.E. is a ministry commissioning Christians to use their gifts to show individuals within our church and community that we care about them and their families. C.A.R.E. is a ministry carrying out the Great Commission as stated in
Matthew 28:19.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. We want to Know Christ, to Grow in Christ, and to Go in Christ to reach His sheep.
C.A.R.E. consists of opportunities for Christians to share their gifts and love with others in the following ways:
- Inreach: The first avenue of C.A.R.E. is ministering and meeting needs within our church. We try to meet those needs by a call, a card or a visit, giving encouragement where encouragement is needed, sending birthday and anniversary cards because we care, and letting individuals know we miss them when they miss church, etc.
- Outreach: We transport our C.A.R.E. outside the four walls of the sanctuary. We encourage community leaders by sending encouragement cards and conducting visits for many different reasons: sick visits, evangelistic visits, etc.
- Upreach: Prayer is the vehicle that keeps the C.A.R.E. ministry on the move. Each week C.A.R.E. teams fulfill prayer requests by praying for those in need.
Heartreach: Hospitality is an exciting component of C.A.R.E. This assignment creates freedom for our C.A.R.E. teams. As hospitality provides childcare for our team members, they, in turn, will be able to concentrate on C.A.R.E. assignments. Hospitality also provides a hot meal and great fellowship.
- Handreach: This avenue of C.A.R.E. is important and essential and provides administrative support.
C.A.R.E. meets each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Antioch. After fellowship and a hot meal, each C.A.R.E. team member participates in an assignment of their choice or as the need arises. There is a place for YOU at C.A.R.E. We need you to use your gift to help our church and community. We ask that each team member commit to one Thursday night each month.
