vs. 16  And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them and blessed them.

children's ministry

Antioch Baptist Church engages children 3 yrs. old through 5th grade in Bible scripture memorization through the AWANA Ministry.  Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA) is stated in 2 Timothy 2:15.  This ministry equips children to grow in their faith. The following clubs are offered:

CUBBIES is for preschoolers 3 years of age through 5 years of age (who haven’t started school). This club helps them learn to love and respect God, Jesus, and His Word.

SPARKS is for kindergarten through 2nd grade. This club helps build a foundation of wisdom for a lifetime of knowing Christ.

TRUTH & TRAINING is for 3rd through 5th grades. This club focuses on the basics of Christian faith to guide clubbers in a deeper understanding of God’s grace by engaging them in Biblical and relational discipleship.

We offer events to help engage the community such as vacation Bible school, fall festival, Operation Christmas Child, and Easter egg hunt, among others.

Friends, Family and Visitors,

As part of the opportunities offered, WMU is represented at Antioch through Women on Mission (WOM).  Our aim is to support mission efforts and missionaries locally and around the globe.  We do this through local mission projects, collections of needed supplies and offerings of money.

In February, we support the Heck-Jones offering which goes directly to our state organization to support all of its ministries.

At Easter, we remember Annie Armstrong and give to national efforts.

And, at Christmas, we honor Lottie Moon and all her efforts to raise support for missionaries in the foreign field.

Typically WOM holds meetings, helps with local mission efforts, and occasionally sponsors special events.

Women of all ages are welcome.

Our leaders at Antioch are Deb Boone and Carol Harkins.  You can contact Deb at (828) 550-1253, deboonern@gmail.com, and Carol at (828) 734-5901, carhark@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and participation as the Lord leads.
